THE #FOODIECHATS STORY

On Monday, May 9, 2011, I Tweeted, “What’s everyone having for dinner tonight?” But on this Tweet I added the hashtag #Foodiechats to this Tweet.
Several people Tweeted back with the hashtag to their Tweets, then 50, then 100's! It gained so much popularity that the Twitter conversation went on for five hours, and trended Nationwide!
Towards the end of the five hours, a participant Tweeted, “Is #Foodiechats every Monday night?” I Tweeted, “Sure why not, I’ll see ya next Monday.” And Viola, #Foodiechats was born.
As the popularity of #Foodiechats each week, and each month, grew bigger and bigger, I saw the opportunity to connect Brands with Social Media Influencers!
8-Years later, #Foodiechats Twitter Chat is one of the longest weekly online food conversations to date!
